So far the most asked
question in the name of Albert Einstein is - did he believe in religion or God?
Was he an atheist? Or was they a believer? The question is not only in the
minds of our present people. Rather, when he was alive, people were interested
in his belief in God. And because of that, his god letter was sold at several
times the price. Because that God's letter was written about his faith in
religion and God. This question is not only asked by the most gifted and
greatest scientist of all time. Rather, the question is asked more because in
his words and actions, sometimes he seems to be a believer, and sometimes he is
an atheist.
As he said on the one
hand - "Religion without science is blind, science without religion is
crippled." Hearing this, many people thought that Einstein believed in
God. But in his God letter, he mentioned - "The word God is nothing to me,
it is only an expression of human weakness." And through this statement,
he denied the existence of God. From where it is known, he considered God only
as a means of maintaining fear among people. So that people don't become
reckless thinking of themselves as omnipotent. Not only that, he thought that
the greed of God's punishments and rewards would force people to be moral and
humane. Apart from this, he did not believe in the existence of God.
But in his knowledge,
he frankly admitted his ignorance. He used to say that it is not possible to
understand this universe with limited human knowledge. To man, the universe is
like a library full of many arranged books written in different languages in
front of a child. He may think that the books are written and arranged by
someone. But he cannot know who wrote and arranged the books. Here again, it
seems that he did not reject the belief of God directly. It is known here that
he was attracted to Spinoza's concept of God and considered Spinoza to be the
greatest philosopher of modern science.

Einstein thought that
morality should be instilled in people rather than false fear of God. Because a
person cannot be controlled by the fear of God's punishment or the greed for
reward. However, he was always humane towards all kinds of beliefs in his
personal life. And that's why he didn't say bad words about anyone's religion
or belief.
But it must be
admitted, there are complications in his words. Once in 1931 comedian
Charlie Chaplin invited Einstein to watch one of his shows. Chaplin's
"City Lights" movie was being shown at that time. At the end of the
show, when the two of them were walking through the streets of the city,
Chaplin asked Einstein, "Everyone understands me, that's why I'm so
popular." But why do people like you so much? Then Einstein replied,
"I am so popular because no one can easily understand me."
Complications are normal. Because he taught us to think differently about this
world. Which no one thought about before.
